IMDEA Energy is opening a Predoctoral Researcher position for the Systems Analysis Unit, looking for talented and motivated candidates to work on life cycle sustainability assessment and ecodesign of hydrogen energy systems.

Tasks Description:

• Participation in the development and application of methodological frameworks and tools for life cycle sustainability assessment of fuel cells and hydrogen systems.
• Review of scientific literature on fuel cells and hydrogen systems.
• Modelling life cycle inventories of fuel cells and hydrogen energy systems.
• Formulation and evaluation of ecodesign actions for fuel cells and hydrogen energy systems.
• Dissemination and publication of research results in international scientific journals and conferences.

Compulsory Requirements:

• BSc in the field of Chemical, Environmental, Mechanical or Energy Engineering, or a related area.
• Official M.Sc. in the fields indicated above.

Merits to value:

• Proven knowledge of environmental, economic and/or social life cycle assessment, and specific software (this can be proven by a research article, a conference contribution, a training certificate, etc.).
• Knowledge of fuel cells and hydrogen systems.
• Knowledge of ecodesign of product systems.
• Participation in research projects or work experience related to the topic of the position.
• Oral and written communication skills in English. 

• Adequacy of the candidate's training to the requested profile.
• Work experience related to the profile of the job position.
• Knowledge of English.
• Motivation for accomplishing high-quality research.

• Remuneration: Between 20.000€ – 22.000€ per year, depending upon qualification and expertise.

*The contract includes all the benefits of the Spanish Public Health and Social Security System.

• Duration of the contract: One year with annual renewals depending on performance.
