IMDEA Energy is opening a Postdoctoral Researcher position for the High-Temperature Processes Unit, looking for talented and motivated candidates, to work on Concentration solar thermal technologies and thermal storage systems for hydrogen generation at high temperature by means of renewable energy and waste heat utilization. 

Your Tasks:

• R&D on steam generation by means of low-medium concentration solar technologies and thermal storage systems for hydrogen production by means of high-temperature steam electrolysers.
• Develop specific components (solar thermal systems, thermal storage) and operation strategies validated in on-sun experimental tests
• Dissemination and publication of research results in scientific journals.
• Supervision of undergraduate and graduate staff working in the R&D unit
• Participation in project proposals preparation and management national and international research projects.

Compulsory Requirements:

• Ph.D. degree in energy or mechanical engineering or similar.
• Demonstrated experience and solid background on numerical and/or experimental tools for analyze thermal and/or mechanical processes
• Accredited oral and written communication skills in English.

Remuneration: Between 38.000 € – 41.000€ per year, depending upon qualification and expertise.
