IMDEA Energy is opening a Development Engineer position for the Systems Analysis Unit, looking for talented and motivated candidates to join the research team of the project aimed at the direct co-processing of CO2 and water to obtain sustainable multicarbon energy products in a novel photocatalytic reactor.

Tasks Description:

• Functional design of a process for the separation of short-chain hydrocarbons mixed with other compounds.
• Simulation of separation processes.
• Technoeconomic study of the processes developed.
• Development of inventories of the processes for the comprehensive analysis of their sustainability
• Dissemination and publication of research results through high-quality scientific publications.

Compulsory Requirements

• Degree in Chemical Engineering, Environmental or Energy Engineering, or a related area.
• Deep knowledge in process engineering and process simulation, as well as in specific software, in the field of chemical and energy processes.
• More than 10 years of experience in these topics.
• Proven participation in, at least, 5 engineering projects.

• Fluent oral and written communication skills in English.

Remuneration: Depending on qualification and expertise.
