Development Engineer Position to work on modeling and simulation of dynamic reactive processes to obtain short-chain hydrocarbons

IMDEA Energy is opening a Development Engineer position for the Electrochemical Processes Unit to work on Development of innovative electrochemical devices and processes for energy storage and conversion
The requirements are as follows:
Tasks Description:
- Collaborate with senior researchers in establishing relationships with companies. Lead the preparation of proposals, negotiation of contracts, and execution of contracted work.
- Define with senior researchers the research infrastructures of the unit, lead their setup, maintenance, and updates.
- Coordinate with senior researchers the training and consolidation of the laboratory and pilot plant technical team of the unit, lead their training and supervision.
Compulsory Requirements
- Oficial Master's degree in Industrial Engineering, Industrial Electronic Engineering or similar.
- Minimum of 10 years of experience in the design and implementation of automation, instrumentation, and process control systems.
- Demonstrable participation in at least 5 engineering projects focused on development and innovation for the industry or in collaboration with the industry.

- Experience in automation and control of electrochemical devices and processes.
- Practical experience in the use of 3D design tools and 3D printing for the design and manufacturing of prototypes, preferably in the field of electrochemical reactors.
- Training and practical experience in programming languages such as Matlab, Python, or LabView.
- Experience in programmable logic controllers (PLC) and automated logic controllers programming.
- Oral and written communication skills in English.
- Adequacy of the candidate's training to the requested profile.
- Work experience related to the profile of the job position.
- Knowledge of English.

Remuneration: Depending on qualification and expertise.
