Research assistant to work on modeling and simulation of energy and waste recovery systems
IMDEA Energy Institute is a María de Maeztu Center of Excellence whose objective is to develop R&D activities in the fields of renewable energies and clean energy technologies by establishing strong links with leading companies in the energy sector. (www.energy.imdea.org).
IMDEA Energy is opening a Research Assistant position for the Systems Analysis Unit, looking for talented and motivated candidates to join the research team of the project CIRPLACAR, aimed at developing and applying methodological frameworks for modeling and simulation of energy and waste recovery systems.
The requirements are as follows:
Tasks Description:
- Modeling and simulation of energy and waste recovery systems.
- Techno-economics assessment of energy and waste recovery systems.
- Design of processes for wastes recovery.
Compulsory Requirements:
- Degree in Chemical, Energy or Environmental Engineering, or a related area.
Other merits to value:
- Proved experience of modeling and simulation of chemical and/or energy systems.
- Proved experience on use of process simulation software (AspenPlus, Hysis, Ebsilon…).
- Proved experience in techno-economics analysis of industrial processes
- Oral and written communication skills in English.
- Motivation to pursue the goals of the project.
- Adequacy of the candidate's training to the requested profile.
- Work experience related to the job position.
- Knowledge of English.
- Motivation for accomplishing high-quality research.
- Remuneration: Between 18.000 € – 20.000 € per year, depending upon qualification and expertise.
*The contract includes all the benefits of the Spanish Public Health and Social Security System.
