Research assistant to work on environmental assessment of energy systems

IMDEA Energy is opening a Research Assistant position for the Systems Analysis Unit, looking for talented and motivated candidates to join the research team of the project HYWARE,aimed at assessing the environmental performance of hydrogen production from waste.
The requirements are as follows:
Tasks Description:
- Modelling processes on hydrogen production from waste, and integration into waste management systems.
- Environmental assessment of the modelled systems through life cycle assessment.
- Techno-economic assessment of the modelled processes and systems.
- Analysis of results and preparation of reports.
Compulsory Requirements:
- Degree in Environmental Engineering, or a related area.
Other merits to value:
- Proved experience in life cycle assessment and its application to energy systems.
- Proved experience in techno-economic analysis of industrial processes.
- Knowledge of process simulation.
- Oral and written communication skills in English.
- Adequacy of the candidate's training to the requested profile.
- Work experience related to the job position.
- Knowledge of English.
- Motivation for accomplishing high-quality research.
- Remuneration: Between 18.000 € – 20.000 € per year, depending upon qualification and expertise.
*The contract includes all the benefits of the Spanish Public Health and Social Security System.
