IMDEA Energy is opening a predoctoral researcher position for the High-Temperature Processes Unit looking for talented and motivated candidates to work on hydrogen generation at high temperature by means of renewable energy and waste heat utilization.

Tasks Description:

• Assessment of hydrogen production processes by means of nominal and dynamic modelling of energy systems involving high-temperature steam electrolysers, and solar thermal and PV technologies.
• Analyse demand scenarios and control strategies for green hydrogen production systems.
• Validation of components (solar thermal systems, thermal storage, electrolysers...) for dynamic models using experimental data.
• Critical analysis of the results and writing of reports.
• Dissemination and publication of research results in scientific journals and conferences.

Compulsory Requirements:

• M.Sc. degree in chemical, energy engineering or similar.
• B.Sc. degree in chemical, energy, mechanical engineering or similar.
• Demonstrated experience and solid background on numerical simulation of energy systems.
• Demonstrated background in chemical processes for hydrogen synthesis.

• Remuneration: Between 21.000€ – 23.500€ per year, depending upon qualification and expertise.
