IMDEA Energy is currently looking for a highly motivated and experienced candidate, with initiative, leadership and ability for temwork, to lead the International Area of the Institute.

The following is an indicative and non-exhaustive list of the main tasks of the position.

Task Description:

• Improve the return from EU research programs maintaining the Institute high performance of the international programs but also improving its leadership role by submitting an increased number of proposals coordinated.
• Improve the visibility of the institute and engage the international scientific community participating in the main scientific societies and forums.
• Coordinate and manage collaborative European and international R&D projects and grants awarded to IMDEA Energy mainly funded under European R&D calls.
• Coordinate and supervise the activities of the European / international project manager’s team of IMDEA Energy mainly focused on:
• Coordination and management of collaborative European and International R&D projects and grants awarded to IMDEA Energy, mainly funded under European R&D calls
• Tasks include the management of grant and consortium agreements, project reporting, organization of project meetings and events, financial management (monitoring of resources, financial statements preparation including audits), monitoring of the workplan, collaboration in dissemination, communication and exploitation activities (such as project website update), among others.
• Identification and promotion of international R&D funding opportunities.
• Support in the preparation and coordination of project proposals for Horizon Europe and other European and international R&D calls.
• Participation in initiatives to reinforce the International projects office.
• Coordinate the Severo Ochoa Maria de Maeztu proposal: controlling and monitoring its activities, the internal and external reporting, economic management, financial statements and deliverables, among others.
• Reporting of the activity indicators.
• Participation, in collaboration with the Human Resources and Economic Management areas, in the preparation of the budgets of the Institute and the Research Units, as well as in the annual audit of accounts.

Requisitos Obligatorios:

• Bachelor or Master Degree.
• At least 7 years of experience in the management of International / European R&D projects and proposals.
• Oral and written communication skills in English (C1 equivalent). Please, provide your CV and motivation letter in English.
