Postdoctoral Researcher Position to work on photo(thermo)catalytic production of solar fuels

IMDEA Energy is opening a Postdoctoral Researcher Position for the Photoactivated Processes Unit, looking for talented and motivated candidates to work on the productions of Solar Fuels by Photo(electro)catalytic processes.
The requirements are as follows:
Tasks Description:
- Design and synthesis of photo(thermo)catalysts.
- Advanced characterization of catalysts using different physicochemical and optoelectronic techniques, including in situ and operando spectroscopies.
- Photo(thermo)catalytic testing (at lab scale and semi-pilot plant scale). Catalytic tests may include CO2 reduction, hydrogen production from water, and N2 fixation to ammonia.
- Design of photo(thermo)catalytic reactors.
- Generation of research outputs and contribution to research with independent and original ideas.
- Communication and dissemination of research results through high-quality scientific channels, which include high-impact scientific publications, conferences, workshops, etc.
- Writing project proposals for national and international calls related to the research topic.
- Communicate and disseminate research results through high-quality scientific channels including high impact scientific publications, presentation in international conferences, etc.
- Supervision of Master or undergraduate students.
Compulsory Requirements:
- PhD. degree in Chemistry, Material Science, Chemical engineering or equivalent.
- Experience on catalysis or photocatalysis.
Other merits to value:
- Accredited experience on heterogeneous catalysis, particularly photocatalysis and/or photothermal catalysis.
- Experience on general characterization and photo(thermo)catalytic testing.
- Knowledge on reactor engineering.
- Good track record of indexed scientific publications.
- Oral and written communication skills in English.
- Adequacy of the candidate's training to the requested profile.
- Work experience related to the profile of the job position.
- Knowledge of English.
- Motivation for accomplishing high-quality research.
- Remuneration: Between 39.000€ – 42.000€ per year, depending upon qualification and expertise.
*The contract includes all the benefits of the Spanish Public Health and Social Security System.
