IMDEA Energy is opening a Laboratory Technician Position for the High Temperature Processes Unit, looking for talented and motivated candidates to work on the synthesis using additive manufacturing techniques and physicochemical characterization of new materials for chemical and thermal storage.

The requirements are as follows:

Tasks Description:

• Synthesis, preparation, and physicochemical, spectroscopic, and microstructural characterization of materials using the equipment available in the research unit.
• Management of the laboratory equipment, including its operation, maintenance, and calibration.
• Monitoring and testing at laboratory- and pilot-scale.
• Management of personal protective equipment in the laboratory;
• Management of laboratory reagents and laboratory waste.

Compulsory Requirements:

• To be in possession of a Higher-Level Training Cycle Degree (Vocational Training of the Educational System) in Industrial chemistry, analytical techniques and quality control, or similar, completed in the last 3 years.

Other Merits to value:

• Accredited knowledge in the synthesis and characterization of solid and fluid materials (thermogravimetric analysis, rheology, microscopy, XRD, etc.).
• Experience in additive manufacturing.
• Organizational and communication skills.
• Oral and written communication skills in English.

• Adequacy of the candidate's training to the requested profile.
• Work experience related to the profile of the job position
• Motivation for accomplishing high-quality research.
• Knowledge of English

• Remuneration: Between 18.000€ – 22.000€ per year, depending upon qualification and expertise.

*The contract includes all the benefits of the Spanish Public Health and Social Security System.

• Duration of the contract:1 year, renewable based on performance.
