IMDEA Energy is opening a Technician Position for the High Temperature Processes Unit, looking for talented and motivated candidates to be involved in the operation and maintenance of experimental facilities dedicated to research on the use of concentrated solar energy.

The requirements are as follows:

Tasks Description:

• Operation and maintenance of the experimental research infrastructures available in the research unit (high-flux solar simulators, heliostat solar field, etc.).
• Coordination and supervision of the design, manufacturing, assembly, and commissioning of components and prototypes.
• Coordination and supervision of internal technical activities in the research infrastructures;
• Creation and updating of technical and safety documentation associated with experimental devices, and especially with developed prototypes developed at our workplace.

Compulsory Requirements:

• To be in possession of a Higher-Level Training Cycle Degree (Vocational Training of the Educational System) in the professional fields of “electricity and electronics”, “energy and water”, “mechanical manufacturing”, or “installation and maintenance”.
• Minimum of 3 years of work experience.

Other Merits to value:

• A minimum of 60-hour training on Occupational Risk Prevention.
• Qualifying training to perform work at heights.
• Knowledge of facility management software.
• Knowledge and experience using office applications and ERP systems.
• Knowledge of computer-aided design tools.
• Oral and written communication skills in English.

• Remuneration: Between 18.000€ – 22.000€ per year, depending upon qualification and expertise.

*The contract includes all the benefits of the Spanish Public Health and Social Security System.

• Duration of the contract: Contract until end of project, 30/09/2028.
