IMDEA Energy is opening a Senior Assistant Research position within its new Artificial Intelligence Unit looking for talented and motivated candidates to work on applying AI techniques to model, predict and optimize energy systems.

The requirements are as follows:

Tasks Description:

• Analyze and understand energy systems to be modeled using AI.
• Identify and select the most appropriate AI methodologies for a variety of problem types.
• Design, implement, and document computational solutions suitable for open-source release.
• Develop visualizations for complex systems and datasets to enable interpretation and effective communication of results.
• Write and publish high-quality scientific research in Artificial Intelligence and Energy journals.
• Contribute to proposals for international public and private project calls.
• Supervision of undergraduate and graduate staff working in the R&D unit.

Compulsory Requirements:

• PhD in Artificial Intelligence, Machine Learning, Computer Science, Telecommunications, or equivalent degree.
• Minimum of 3 years of postdoctoral research experience.
• Proven experience in various AI methodologies working in distinct projects.
• Demonstrated experience in Python programming.

• Remuneration: Between 44.000€ – 50.000€ per year, depending upon qualification and expertise.
