IMDEA Energy is opening a Predoctoral Position for the Biotechnology Processes Unit to work on “HUB DE INNOVACIÓN DE ECONOMÍA CIRCULAR DE LA COMUNIDAD DE MADRID” Motivated candidates with training in fermentative bioprocesses are sought. The objective of the project is to optimize the conversion of organic waste into carboxylates through anaerobic fermentation.”

Tasks Description:

  • Design and conduct experiments under controlled conditions at laboratory scale
  • Optimization of bioprocesses by adjusting operational conditions of fermenters
  • Performing analytical and biological measurements.
  • Generate research results and contribute to the development of independent and original ideas.
Requirements

Compulsory Requirements:

  • MSc. degree in Chemical Engineering, Biotechnology, Environmental Engineering or equivalent.
  • Work experience, internships or TFM related to the job profile.
  • Knowledge of English.

Merits to value:

  • Accredited experience on anaerobic fermentative bioconversions.

Conditions
  • Remuneration: Between 20.000€ – 22.500€ per year, depending upon qualification and expertise.

*The contract includes all the benefits of the Spanish Public Health and Social Security System.

  • Duration of the contract: One year with annual renewals depending on performance.
