Electron Microscopy Technician position to work on Central Laboratories in Imdea Energy

IMDEA Energy is opening a Scanning and Transmission Electron Microscopy Technician position, looking for talented and motivated candidates to work for Central Laboratories.
Tasks Description:
- Samples preparation for observation in scanning (SEM), transmission (TEM) and transmission-scanning (STEM) microscopes.
- Use of SEM/TEM/STEM electron microscopes in the usual working modes.
- Interpretation of images and electron diffraction diagrams.
- Phase and compositional analysis with EDS spectrometry.
- Handling of image acquisition, analysis and processing software.
- Maintenance and optimization of electron microscopes and related equipment.
- Technical support/advice to researchers on the use of microscopes.
Compulsory Requirements:
- Official BSc in Sciences or Engineering.
- Experience with Transmission Electron Microscopes (TEM).
- Experience in sample preparation for microscopy.
Merits to value:
- Phd in Science or Engineering.
- Experience in the use of image processing software.
- Experience with Scanning Electron Microscopes (SEM) and Scanning-transmission electron microscopes (STEM).
- Oral and written communication skills in English.
- Adequacy of the candidate's training to the requested profile.
- Work experience related to the profile of the job position.
- Knowledge of English.
- Motivation for accomplishing high-quality work.
Remuneration: Depending upon qualification and expertise.
*The contract includes all the benefits of the Spanish Public Health and Social Security System.
Duration of the contract: 1 year, possibility of annual renewals depending on performance
